| Mark Grudzielanek collected career hit No. 2,000 Saturday, July 12th off of Seattle's Jarrod Washburn. He is the 251st player in Major League history to reach 2,000 hits and the 18th active player. A Big Congratulations goes out to Grudzielanek for his hits and helping the Royals win Saturdays game 5-4. David DeJesus had a big day as well, hitting a walk off two-run homerun in the 9th inning with 2 outs to win one for Santa on Santa Hat Day.
