It has been my pleasure over the past year to serve as the discerning eyes and ears at the movies for our faithful readers. Having finished my ninth year at this post, I now have the dubious distinction and prioritizing challenge of selecting my favorite motion pictures of 2011 as well as those I disliked the most. I have added secondary lists of very good films deserving honorable mention and stinkers to stay clear of that just missed the cut. This exercise is limited to movies that were released during the calendar year.
