On October 2nd, promotions director Dave Nicklin hosted an event to help raise community awareness in protecting kids and to promote safety.
His many partners included Great Clips, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Merriam DARE ,Brentano's Books, Ritz Camera, Scholastic Books, Mean Mama's Burrito and The Great Wolf Lodge. In addition the fire and police departments were there with a huge fire truck, The Merriam Police Department was on hand with Identi-Kid fingerprint and photo books (Ritz Camera providing the first 100 images free) Patrons' registered for a Shark Tale Prize Pack. They could also register for a Ladder 49 Soundtrack, movie Poster and Thermos. Patrons were also offered face painting, samples of Kelpy Kreme Doughnuts, free balloons, and fun Arts and crafts.
