It was sad to hear Janet Leigh, who starred in over 50 movies, passed away recently at age 77. Who could forget the dashing blonde in the 60's who co-starred with Tony Curtis in "The Vikings" and "The Black Shield of Falworth" among other action films. And who could forget her dramatic shower scene in "Psycho". This scene etched Leigh's screaming face into the memories of thousands of film viewers. Another excellent part was in "The Manchurian Candidate" where she played Rosie, a girl who meets Frank Sinatra's character in the film. Except for a few small parts, Janet retired in 1968 and left the acting career to her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis. The world will surely miss this golden goddess of the silver screen. |
