In "The Blind Side" it is proven that talent can be discovered in the most unlikely places. For Michael Oher (Quniton Aaron) this is no exception. Michael was a young boy when he was ripped from his mother's care due to drug use. After being bounced around in the system Michael found himself alone and homeless. One rainy evening as Michael is walking virtually nowhere in below zero temps the Touhy family takes the young man in. Leigh Anne (Sandra Bullock) and Sean (Tim McGraw) have few reservations and are looking to offer him a warm place to stay. At first Michael is very quiet and reserved, but as the family begins to mold together he opens himself to the love and respect they are offering him.

As football season begins the Touhy's expect Mike to have extraordinary skills, but as the practices continue to show no improvement they are at a loss. That is until Leigh Anne gives Mike a pep talk. After she tells Mike to protect his team as if it was her and her family Mike proves to be an offensive tackle that can't be matched. As word spreads about Michael the college scouts scurry to entice him to join their school using all the tricks they can. Michael begins to work on getting his grades up so he can get a scholarship and manages to do so successfully. Eventually the Touhy's approach Mike about adopting him and he graciously accepts.

This remarkable true story shows how one helping hand can change someone's world. The Touhy's opened their hearts and home to this young boy and saved him from a life of uncertainty. The NFL would have never noticed Michael had it not been for them, but because of their love Michael is now starting for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL.

"The Blind Side" is an inspirational and emotional story of a families love, hope and dedication. Sandra Bullock's performance is Oscar worthy and her best work to date. Quinton Aaron proved to be a little giant with a heart of gold. Keep an eye out for this young man as he will be a success. This amazing story was brought to life in a wonderful way that families everywhere will enjoy. As the holidays are fast approaching this is the film to see that will have you thanking your every blessing. Don't turn a blind eye to "The Blind Side" as it is one of the best films this year!
