This Disney tale about three brave cows that set out to save the farm is fun for kids and adults alike. Home on the Range is a gripping tale of underdog animal characters facing dangerous odds and uniting together to achieve a common goal. A greedy outlaw named Alameda Slim (voiced by Randy Quaid) schemes to take possession of the "Patch of Heaven" dairy farm from its kindly owner, Pearl (Carole Cook). Unwilling to stand by, three determined cows (Roseanne Barr, Judi Dench, and Jennifer Tilly) set off to save the farm with trusty horse Buck (Cuba Gooding, Jr,). Unless they come up with $750, the farm goes up for auction. The three cows learn in town that a $750 reward is offered for capture of notorious cattle rustler Alameda Slim. A wild chase ensues with time running out to save the farm. The animals are fun, the story interesting, and another good effort turned in by Disney. |
