This action film pairs a jailed gang lord Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne) with a young cop Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke). They join forces when members of a corrupt police unit storm the station house. The story begins on a wintry New Year’s Eve, when at midnight the crumbling precinct house will be shut down for good. A skeleton crew is on hand including Jake,(Ethan Hawk), demoted to a desk job after his two partners were killed in a drug deal gone wrong. Also a grizzly old cop (Brian Dennehy) and a secretary (Drea de Matteo) are on hand.

A fierce blizzard forces a busload of jail inmates to spend the night in 13’ s cellblock. Among them is Bishop (Fishburne), the city’s most notorious gangster who has been in cahoots with Duvalle (Gabriel Burne) in big drug deals. Burne brings his elite crooked cops to kill his former partner Bishop and save themselves from being implicated in the drug deals..

This is when all hell breaks loose and the storm on Precinct 13 begins. And yes, 4 cops, 2 civilians and 4 prisoners must fend off over two dozen highly equipped raiders with laser-targeted sniper rifles, night-vision goggles, stun grenades, electronic equipment and a helicopter. Contrast that with poorly equipped fighters inside the building using a collection of old guns and weapons, including an old tommy gun. How can these guys survive? Come and see for yourself and witness a wild battle.
