“I Love You, Man” is the latest bromance, starring the adorable Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Rudd is Peter Klaven a realtor who has met the girl of his dreams and is ready to wed her. Only problem is Peter has no guy friends. His personality does not clash well with others and he has more female friends than male. This creates a problem when he needs to find not only groomsmen, but a best man for the wedding. With the help of this brother and mother who search for men who could be friend possibilities, he meets many guys. Some of these men are expecting more than friendship which creates an interesting complexity to Peter’s search.

Peter does not have to do much searching for his new friend Sydney (Segel). When Peter is having a showing for Lou Ferrigno’s (The Hulk’s) house, he meets the intuitive Sydney. Peter is very intrigued by Sydney’s honesty and knowledge. The two exchange cards and after a few days Peter decides he would like to get to know Sydney better and after several man-dates he finds himself a new B.F.F. The two begin spending a lot of time together, but when Peter’s fiancé Zooey (Rashida Jones) becomes concerned about their relationship Peter begins to doubt his friendship with Sydney. When push comes to shove will Peter choose his new friend over his fiancé?

“I Love You, Man” is a hilarious look at relationships and friendships from a male perspective. Aside from a few slow sections the storyline flows well and is enjoyable by all. Jason Segel and Paul Rudd offer stellar performances that the audience will find memorable. The film offers great direction, and with an amazing cast you will not want to miss this one. Put a spring in your step and get out and see the latest comedy that will have you laughing out loud.
