Who's that guy singing with Kenny Chesney on "When the Sun Goes Down"?
It's rapper, country-loving Detroit boy named Uncle Kracker! He loved being part of the big hit with Kenny Chesney that just spent 5 weeks at the top of the charts. His real name is Matt Shafer and he is a former member of Kid Rocks band. His 3rd album is out and continues to have a country sound. He was strongly influenced by his dad who played a lot of Patsy Cline and George Jones. In his mid teens, he attended a Hank Williams Jr. concert with his pal Kid Rock. He walked away from that show with a great respect for country music. Now 29 and married with two children, Kracker loves country and has befriend the likes of Phil Vassar and Kenny Chesney. Watch for more of Kraker in the country arena.
