FULLY COMMITTED: (Now playing through Oct 11th, 2004)
A deliciously entertaining spectacle is the order of the evening as desperate diners resort to hilariously bad behavior to secure their reservations at a trendy New York restaurant. Mark Robbins directs this play that takes place in the basement of a famed New York restaurant
Out-of-work actor Sam Pelicozwski (Jason Chanos) is the restaurant's reservationist, charged with managing the needs of Manhattan's zany café society who will stop at nothing to get their way. The entire play takes place on a day in the life of Sam as he deals with a multitude of reservation seekers including neurotics, socialites, the demanding maitre d' , the cantankerous chef, clueless tourists, a mysterious caller, a cranky senior citizen and self-important celebrities (with eccentric details about thier dining requirements). To make the day worse, no one is helping Sam, a VIP has no reservations, and the restaurant is expecting a visit from gourmet mangazine any moment
Have no reservations about this hot new comedy, it has New York critics and audiences salivating over this one-man show with 39 characters. It is amazing how actor Jason Chanos handles the one man play and all the characters. Call 816-842-9999 for more information or go to the Web at www.ahtkc.com.
